She has prepped and been in charge of the audio visual operations for month long trials, including a case that resulted with a $19.25M verdict against Caltrans (State of CA), which is, to date, the largest Wrongful Death verdict in Santa Cruz County history. She has also written the press releases for these cases, reaching out to local news organizations to get the coverage the clients deserved. She also understands what looks good on Instagram, so knows what will be eye catching to a jury.

She earned her B.S. from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2007.

Experience includes:

-Plaintiff and Defense experience

-Courtroom equipment setup with TV monitor and projector options (including setup of switcher matrix, splitters for various monitors, and digital elmo)

-Utilizing OnCue trial presentation software (accredited user certification below)

-Creating and running PowerPoint (PC) and Keynote (Mac) presentations for expert witnesses, attorney opening, and closing presentations

-Editing depositions for trial testimony for non-appearing witnesses

-Organizing and presenting evidence at trial for the jury

-Remote Zoom trial witness presentations

-Adapting system for remote court reporters (via Zoom)

-Videoing and editing “Day in the Life” videos for mediation and trial purposes

Tracy Scruggs began her legal assistance career in 2018 working as the in-house Media and Audio Visual Director at the Plaintiffs’ Law Firm: Scruggs, Spini & Fulton in Santa Cruz, CA.

She has been a “Hot Seater” to cases which have resulted in over $38 million dollars in jury verdicts.

She has created settlement videos, submitted to OC with the mediation brief to bring a face to the case. She has been responsible for: video interviewing clients, video editing to create a cohesive storyline using the voice of the client, and adding in relevant images and news articles to create a vibrant picture of the case.
